Industry veteran will advise GoGig on product strategy, market positioning and go-to-market growth

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., August 31, 2026. GoGig, an AI-powered personality intelligence platform for hiring and workforce decisions, today announced that talent acquisition analyst, advisor and industry veteran Matt Charney has joined the company as a strategic advisor.

Charney will work with GoGig’s executive team on product strategy, market positioning, strategic partnerships and go-to-market execution. He will also help the company translate its technology into practical outcomes for employers, workforce organizations and job seekers, a surprisingly necessary discipline in a market where adding “AI-powered” to a product description now qualifies as a launch strategy.

“Matt has spent his career looking past product claims to ask whether hiring technology actually improves how people are evaluated and hired,” said Chris Hodges, founder and CEO of GoGig. “He understands the product, practitioner and commercial sides of this market, and he will tell us where we are right, where we are wrong and where we have started believing our own pitch deck. That combination of expertise and candor will be invaluable as GoGig continues to grow.”

GoGig’s AI Smart Assessment analyzes natural language from real phone and video interviews to generate structured insights into personality, communication style and job alignment. The company’s platform also includes its Anonymous Talent Network and Veteran Alignment Intelligence, which help employers and workforce organizations identify, engage and match talent using a broader understanding of the individual than a résumé or keyword search can provide.

“Hiring has no shortage of AI claims. It has a severe shortage of useful signal,” said Charney. “GoGig is tackling a much harder and more consequential question: how employers can understand candidates more effectively without forcing them through another artificial test or adding more friction to an already miserable process. The technology is compelling, the use cases are real and the team is building with the right mix of ambition and skepticism. I am joining because GoGig has substance, and because advising from the sidelines eventually just becomes heckling.”

Charney’s appointment comes as GoGig expands adoption of its personality intelligence technology across employers, staffing firms, workforce development organizations and public-sector programs.
