GoGig Jobs Inc. (“GoGig,” “we,” “us”) has created this Privacy Policy to reassure You (our customers and users) that GoGig is committed to protecting Your privacy. This Privacy Policy covers information we collect, how the information may be used, with whom it may be shared, and Your responses and disclosures on GoGig. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the GoGig website, mobile application, or its other Applications, You are accepting and consenting to the terms of this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is effective as of March 01, 2016 and may be amended by GoGig from time to time, if you do not consent or agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you may choose not to use GoGig or cease all use of GoGig.
1.1. This Privacy Policy covers only data collected through GoGig and not any other data collection or processing, including without limitation, data collection practices of other web pages to which we link or data that we or our subsidiaries collect offline or through websites, products, or services that do not display a direct link to this Privacy Policy. Occasionally, GoGig may refer to this Privacy Policy in consents and notice requests related to this website, mobile applications, or other resources. If that occurs, rest assured that this Privacy Policy covers Your information collected in those areas as well.
1.2. When You register as a user or otherwise actively transmit data on GoGig, data including, but not limited to, user name, password, first and last name, email address, connections or information from other media and networking sites, employment history, educational history, skills, gender, personality, career desires, age, hometown, and any other data transmitted to GoGig or other users or employers is collected.
1.3. In connection with the referral services or chargeable services, we will collect payment information (e.g. valid credit card information, type, expiration date, and/or CVV). Your payment information is secure and GoGig will not use that in an unauthorized way or give that to any unauthorized third party.
1.4. As part of the standard procedure of GoGig, we will automatically collect information known as “cookies” from Your mobile device and/or computer including, but not limited to, Your operating system, browser, IP address/MAC Address, type of mobile device and other similar technologies. In addition, GoGig may record actions taken on GoGig including, but not limited to, date and times of use, clicks, connections, job applications, page and profile views, and the amount of time You spend on each page, searches, profiles, and profile pairings or matches. GoGig reserves the rights to collect, use, and match Your information with other information about You in any way permitted by applicable law. GoGig will store this information on its equipment and/or the equipment of third parties that it has a relationship with for that purpose.
1.5. GoGig may create and assign to Your device a specific identifier that is similar to an account number. We may collect the name You have associated with Your device, device type, telephone number, country, and any other information You choose to provide, including but not limited to user name, geo-location, or email address. We may also access Your contacts to enable You to refer friends using GoGig’s referral feature or for You to invite friends to join GoGig.
2.1. Information provided to and acquired by GoGig will be used for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Policy and Agreement. GoGig uses this material and information generated when You use GoGig to provide our services and features to You, to provide employers information that may be interested in contacting and hiring You, to measure, research, and improve GoGig services and features, and to provide You with customer support if needed. GoGig may also share Your personal information with third party websites and/or social networking sites in order to show content or advertisements that has been customized for You. Additionally, GoGig may share Your information with employers in order to confirm an employer hired You as a result of GoGig’s services (we want to know our service works and how often). If GoGig is going to use the personal information collected through its Application in a manner materially different from the terms agreed upon at the time it is collected, GoGig will provide 30 day notice prior to such use or by other means as required by law.
2.2. GoGig reserves the right to engage other companies or third parties to perform services necessary to our operations. In the course of providing these services and if such companies require access to Your personal information GoGig will provide notice to You, execute a separate privacy agreement and only be given information that is relevant to fulfill that service. However, we will not be liable (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for any damages that may result from the misuse of Your personal information by any third party. GoGig may use Your IP address and mobile device information to help diagnose problems with GoGig. Your IP address and mobile device information may also be used to help identify You, Your location, profile, and to gather broad demographic information. GoGig may maintain (as permitted by applicable law) Your data following termination of the relationship between You and GoGig. GoGig may in its sole discretion delete Your user data as permitted by applicable law. GoGig may also aggregate Your data with other data, for the purposes of the Agreement and this Privacy Policy.
2.3. If You provide credit, debit or other payment card and related details to us in order to make a payment, GoGig will use those details only for the purpose of processing the payment.
2.4. GoGig may use information collected to prevent potentially illegal activities and/or certain activities that may be harmful to You or others. GoGig will utilize this information to investigate and disclose information if we have a good-faith belief that such information is in compliance with legal proceedings or necessary to protect the rights, safety, and reputation of GoGig or that of the members of the public.
3.1. To the extent permitted by applicable law, GoGig, its affiliates, or its designated third party partners, may also use Your contact information to (i) send You push notifications or alerts; (ii) create an account; (iii) send You information about GoGig; and, (iv) send You promotional material or advertisements. GoGig may use demographic and/or profile data to tailor Your experience on GoGig, show You content that GoGig thinks You may be interested in, and display content according to Your preferences. Your personal information gets placed on GoGig when You log into GoGig via other media or websites for the first time or upload content. By accessing GoGig, You are making all Your personal and employment information on other media sites and otherwise transmitted or provided to GoGig available to third parties who may be interested in You as an employee or employer. If You do not want Your personal information posted on GoGig, You should not log in to GoGig or upload Your information. GoGig reserves the right to charge third parties a fee for accessing Your information as part of GoGig’s services.
4.1. GoGig offers any user the choice to utilize GoGig or not use GoGig. By accessing GoGig, You are specifically consenting to the use of any personal information You provided to GoGig as set forth herein and in the Terms and Conditions Agreement. You are also consenting to submissions of information You provide to potential employers.
5.1. GoGig will provide reasonable security measures to safeguard the disclosure, unauthorized access, loss, misuse and alteration of the personal information under GoGig’s control. However, no system, method of transmission of data via the Internet, method of electronic data storage can be 100% guaranteed secure. Moreover, any and all emails, text messages, messages, or data sent via Your web browser, or any other similar means of communication is not encrypted. Communication of confidential information by You through these means should therefore be limited and potentially even avoided entirely. 6.1. GoGig may create links to other websites and applications, or reference other websites and applications. When You click on certain links on the Application, You may be directed to a Third-party website or application. GoGig is not responsible for the privacy practices or terms and conditions of other websites, and we encourage You to read their privacy statements prior to use.
7.1. Some States within the United States of America permit users of GoGig that are residents of those states to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. 8.1. GoGig reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy or the Terms & Condition at any time. Any use of personally identifiable information collected through GoGig in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection will result in notification to You via email and/or by posting a notice on GoGig for 30 days prior to such use or by other means as required by law.
9.1. In the event of a change of ownership or control in GoGig’s business (whether by merger, sale, or otherwise) or in the event of an asset purchase or sale, all user information, including customer’s personal information, may be assigned and/or transferred, including customer’s personally identifying information. However, if that business materially changes this Privacy Policy or the information-handling practices as described in this Privacy Policy, You will be notified by email and/or through a notice posted on GoGig, and You may opt-out of the use of Your existing information in a new manner. This Privacy Policy inures to the benefit of any successors or assigns of GoGig or the assets of GoGig.
